1. Category-Specific Availability Period
Effortlessly control product availability for entire categories.
- Set Category-Specific Date Ranges: Admins/store managers can assign a specific date range (From Date to To Date) for a product category. Products in that category will only be available within the defined timeframe.
- Real-Time Checkout Validation:
- If the cart contains products from a restricted category, customers attempting to choose a delivery/pickup date outside the allowed period will see a notice.
- The system restricts order placement and prompts the customer to select a valid date.
2. Product-Level Date-Time Management
Gain precise control over delivery and pickup schedules at the individual product level.
- Order Type and Scheduling on Product Pages: Customers can select the order type (Delivery or Pickup), date, and time for each product directly on its page.
- Blackout Dates (Validated During Add to Cart): Admins can define blackout dates for individual products. If a customer selects a delivery/pickup date within the blackout period, the product cannot be added to the cart, preventing scheduling conflicts early in the process.
- Custom Pre-Order Lead Times: Each product can have its own minimum pre-order days, allowing customers to select only those delivery/pickup dates that respect the specified lead time.
- Unified Delivery Date and Time:
- For delivery orders, all products in the cart must share the same delivery date and time, ensuring seamless logistics for the entire order.
- For pickup orders, customers can choose separate pickup dates and times for different products, offering flexibility for staggered pickups.
- Delivery and Pickup Separation: To simplify operations, customers cannot combine delivery and pickup products within the same order.
3. Flexible Field Placement for Delivery/Pickup, Date, and Time
With WooODT Extended v1.2.5, you can now control where the delivery/pickup, date, and time fields appear:
- Single Product Page: Allow customers to select delivery/pickup options, dates, and times for each product directly on its product page for greater flexibility.
- Checkout Page: Alternatively, consolidate the delivery/pickup, date, and time selection fields on the checkout page for a streamlined order process.
- Admins can switch between these placements to suit their store’s needs, providing better control over the user experience.
